How To Get The Best Skin You Can Possibly Get

We all want the best skin we can have and for it to be easy and inexpensive to achieve.

And guess what? It can be very easy to achieve when you know the rights things to do.

You see, a lot of people don’t realize that healthy looking skin mainly comes from within us.  Healthy skin mainly comes from the cells inside each of the five layers of your skin and so it makes perfect sense to look after these cells.

Internal Habits:

Habits 1-5 show how you can look after your skin simply by what you should consume on a daily basis.

External Habits:

And of course there are also many external ways we can look after our skin too.

Habits 6-7 are external ways to look after you skin.

1) Take Your Vitamins

Take your vitamins either by the food you eat or as supplements.

Specifically for your skin, you will want to consume these vitamins:

  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin E

As far as food goes, think ‘color’. Have a variety of reds (tomatoes, peppers), greens (broccoli, kale) and orange colored food.

Of course, you can also take these vitamins as supplements either individually or in a multivitamin tablet.

2) Take a Collagen Supplement

Collagen gives your skin the elasticity to make it stay looking tight and youthful.

Unfortunately as we get older, the production of collagen starts to diminish which is why it’s essential to eat foods containing collagen in them.

However, eating collagen-rich foods won’t likely give you the big boost you’re after if you’re serious about staying as youthful looking as you can. Therefore, you might want to consider taking a collagen supplement.

The best way to take a collagen supplement is with collagen powder. A collagen powder can be seamlessly added to your food and beverages so you don’t even realize that you’re taking it.

3) Drink Plenty of Water

I know, you’ve heard this all before, but water really does help with your skin complexion.

By drinking plenty of water each day will help to hydrate your skin cells and flush out toxins.

You can also ‘eat’ your water intake too as foods with a high concentration of water give added vitamins.  An example of foods which contain vitamin-rich water include cucumber, strawberries and melon.

4) Exercise Your Face

I’ve included this in the ‘internal habit‘ section because I want you to realize that by doing face exercises not only tightens your skin externally, but also stimulates blood circulation.

When you stimulate the circulation of blood, it flows to the skin via your blood vessels. When the blood flows towards your skin; it brings oxygen and various nutrients with it that the skin needs in order to stay healthy. In addition to this, as the blood continues to flow, it removes toxins from your skin such as carbon dioxide and metabolic wastes (cellular respiration).

5) Exfoliate

This doesn’t need to be done on a daily basis, once a week will be sufficient, but it is important that you exfoliate your face as it helps to slew off the dead skin cells which are still lying on your skins surface.

Some skin cells do fall off naturally, but some still cling to your skin for dear life. These dead skin cells make your skin look grey and ashen because…. well you’ve got dead skin cells lying there.

You want to have healthy and vibrant skin cells which will give you that youthful glow, and exfoliation is the perfect tool to do this job for you.

Be sure to choose an exfoliation scrub which is kind to your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin.

6) Cleanse

Cleansing your skin each day will also help with the removal of dead skin cells, but obviously not to the extent which exfoliation does.  In addition to this, the main reason to cleanse your face daily is to get rid of grime and pollutants which attach themselves to your skin and into your pores.

Cleansing your facial skin with a respected cleanser and cotton wool pad will wipe off extra dirt and grime which won’t necessarily come off with water and soap.

7) Hydrate

We’ve talked about hydrating your skin cells from the inside with water above, but you should also hydrate your skin with a good moisturizing lotion.

Ideally, you’ll want to moisturize your face twice a day, in the morning and before you go to bed.

Be sure to use a good hydrating moisturizer with hyaluronic acid in it. Hyaluronic acid is known to moisten the skin and then lock the moisture in.

So there you have it. You now know the seven best habits to adopt for a healthy, vibrant-looking skin.

And the best part is that habits 1-3 are consumed with food and drink so there’s no extra activity to do which eats into your already busy schedule!
